Tommy knew how to make someone feel seen. He “just knew”. He knew how to make someone’s day. He knew how to thrift shop and make that granny sweater into something way more culturally relevant than its original wearer. He knew how to make his parents laugh, as well as his three sisters.

What Would Tommy Do?
Tommy was only 14 years old when he passed away from sudden cardiac arrest. But in the short amount of time he was with us, he made a difference to those around him by truly seeing people for who they are, offering a kind gesture or a hug when needed, and bringing a laugh through a silly dance or funny comment. We can all make a difference and continue the legacy Tommy started.

Devastated but never alone, his family was swiftly lifted up in kindness by their friends and family. Simultaneously the hashtag #BELIKETOMMY went viral on social, because as soon as he left us, the universe knew we had a big heart and very big shoes to fill. What started as a movement to heal a small community grew to help nurture others.
