About Tommy
Tommy had a unique ability to see others, and make them feel seen. He knew what they needed and was there to provide it, be it a good laugh, a hug or shoulder to lean on, or simply acknowledgement. He complimented total strangers on their outfits, or the jewelry they were wearing, and did it with his own unique style, flair, and artfulness that brought joy to all that encountered him.
Tommy’s Legacy
Tommy was only 14 years old when the world lost him to sudden cardiac arrest.
In the short time he was with us he made a lasting impression on all those he met, and enriched their lives through empathy, kindness, and joy.
We all have the opportunity to make a difference in others lives and to continue the legacy Tommy left for us.

As the community came to grips with this tragic loss, the hashtag #BeLikeTommy went viral on social media, an expression of all who Tommy was and the loss all were feeling. What started as a movement to help a community heal has evolved into a movement to carry on Tommy's legacy to nurture others.
Joyful Experiences
We are here to create unique, joyful experiences for youth ages 10-18 who have experienced hardship, especially those most vulnerable to exclusion and discrimination. Whether it’s a birthday party for a child or a day fishing on the lake, the BeLikeTommy Project discreetly provides all that is needed to make that joyful experience happen.
Where other organizations help provide staples such as food, clothing, and shelter; we provide joy!
